Celebrating Hazel’s 18th Birthday!

Hazel when she first arrived at the sanctuary! 

Hazel the goat has been with us for just over a year now!

She came to us after her siblings had passed away and her caregiver decided it was best that she went somewhere that she could spend time with other animals.

Hazel was 17 when she arrived at the sanctuary and she has recently turned 18 in September. This makes her the oldest resident at the sanctuary! As a special birthday treat, Hazel got a wheelbarrow full of her favourite snack - Hazel leaves!

All of our volunteers love spending time with Hazel, and Hazel loves it too. She often follows the volunteers around while they are doing the daily cleaning out tasks hoping to get some tasty treats and a back scratch!
